Blip Boutique was approached by the band Phish to create online videos to announce their highly anticipated upcoming summer tours.  The videos needed to be huge spectacles that would speak to the extremely active online fan base and create a viral sensation.  Blip Boutique decided to create both videos based on live events on a monumental scale that would garner attention and stir debate about the question "is it really real?" The first event, filmed and released in early January, captured a team of five airplanes sky writing the tour announcement over Southern California. Captured from several cameras on the ground, the video was shown on the band's website and the event was later verified as 'real' by personal sightings and photos from fans on the ground at the time of the event.

The second video, released on March 17th reversed the spectacle.  The announcement was painted on the ground, on a property in Georgetown, Texas and captured from the sky by way of aerial photography.  These images were combined in an animation with satellite images, creating a direct zoom from space to the announcement on earth. The debate as to "is it real" was accelerated by a posting ob the band's Facebook page of still images documenting the field painting in process.  The response has been huge, with discussion active and ongoing.
