Miss Epil

Miss Epil

Lowe Strateus, Paris, has created this campaign asking women to please use Miss Epil. I agree with some of the comments on AdLand; the idea of men coming equipped with a map is great but the tagline of “Ladies please use” lets the campaign down a bit. The visuals are great though.

The Canadian Design Resource

The Canadian Design Resource

I just stumbled upon this site via Computerlove (I go to Computerlove everyday to check out goodies and it rarely disappoints). And speaking of goodies, there are loads to be had on the Canadian Design Resource site. I particularly enjoyed the fashion (the “stop staring at my toonies” t-shirt is hilarious), toys and packaging pages. Also, be sure to check out what I consider to be one of the best Canadian designs of all time – the Windsor Salt box. Great, no?

Moonvertising

This is fun – Moonvertising for Rolling Rock via Goodby, Silverstein & Partners. Tool of North America director Geordie Stephens created this spot to direct traffic to moonvertising.com where you can view more attempts to laser advertising on the moon and put your own message on the moon. Scooped from ShotsCut & Paste.

This Car Stinks?

This Car Stinks?

Need to entertained? I was just at Ads of the World and came across this Chevrolet Aveo ad via Mccann Erickson, Mumbai, India. I love when ads evoke dialogue, positive or negative, and that’s just what this one has done. Take some time to read the catty ad banter.

Born to Play

Born to Play

Fishing, Pebble and Veggie are the latest from Partners director James Haworth for the Toronto Blue Jays. Set in the 70′s and 80′s, they were shot on color reversal film, a film stock that was prevalent back in the day, and it gives the viewer a feeling of how things were, visually, in that time. Agency is Publicis, Toronto. Full credits and a still from the shoot are here. Haworth is repped by Another Film Company in the UK.

Not the Easter Bunny

Not the Easter Bunny

“Bunny” is not the Easter Bunny, but I thought I’d post this today in honor of the holiday. This spot is to promote The Bessies, Canada’s ad awards show. Agency is John St and it’s directed by Head Gear Animation’s Steve Angel. There is also Shave, which I posted a couple weeks back.
