Dress Up Designer

Fun piece in the August issue of Creative Review. Finally something to do on those long flights or car rides, like when you were little.

Robyn in TO

Robyn in TO

Me and my BFF/fav Swede are going to see Robyn tonight in Toronto. Wanted to post this great spot that Blip Boutique did for Robyn a while back and send thanks to Mary at Blip for the VIP passes for tonight. Oh, and speaking of Robyn, last month Blip Boutique also created this 3D interactive microsite for “Don’t Fucking Tell me What to Do”. Plug, plug, plug. Love. Love. Love.

Today I Feel Like a Cup of Love

Today I Feel Like a Cup of Love

I really miss artist, designer and director Nagi Noda who sadly passed away in 2008. I always looked forward to seeing her work. So today, I thought I’d post this tiny love story in remembrance of such a talented person. The spot was created for French retailer Franc Franc and I was working at Shots in London when it came out. Upon viewing it for the first time, I was moved to tears. Serious. Danny Edwards, Shots editor, came into the room, where I was compressing it for the web, saw me with tears in my eyes, immediately turned and walked out of the room and announced to the rest of the staff, “The Canadian is crying”. I just thought it was so good. Oh, and I heard that they sold out of the cups featured in the spot within a day after the spot aired – not sure if that’s true. Enjoy.

Opulence - I Haz it

Hilarious new spot for DirecTV directed by Biscuit Filmworks‘ Tim Godsall via Grey, New York. Not sure what I like more – the dogs playing poker or the pygmy giraffe. Wait, the giraffe. Hands down. Edited by Geoff Hounsell at Arcade. Full credits.
