Halo: Reach “Deliver Hope”

Halo: Reach

Last week, Xbox launched this amazing live action trailer for the Halo: Reach campaign. “Deliver Hope” is the dramatic third act in the series of live-action ads from agencytwofifteen and acclaimed director Noam Murro (Biscuit Filmworks). True to the spirit of past Halo campaigns, the Halo: Reach effort is of an epic scale, more like a Hollywood blockbuster than a traditional gaming campaign. Complete info here.

Sort Your Shit Out

Sort Your Shit Out

HUGE pet peeve of mine (no pun intended) is people who do not pick up after their dogs. I also think the most revolting feeling in the world is a piece of dog poo in a plastic bag. As my GF Amalie said this weekend, “that’s one of the things that keep me from getting a dog.” I digress. Here’s a great campaign from the UK to encourage people to pick up their pooch’s poo. Agency is Wave. Scooped from Creative Review – see their full story here.

Arcade Fires' Latest

The Wilderness Downtown is the latest amazing online project from Arcade Fire and director Chris Milk. I only wish Google Maps had enough info on where I grew up for it to work properly.

Aaron Ruell Paris Show

Biscuit Filmworks and Holiday Films director Aaron Ruell is also a photographer and his first Paris show is on now until September 25th – the opening is tomorrow night. The images being shown are a mix of still life scenarios as well as portait work, including never shown prints from a new series shot on location in a baroque California hotel, The Madonna Inn. If you are in Paris you should go (and I’m jealous – wish I could be there). Complete details.

Toronto Street Advertising Takeover

Toronto Street Advertising Takeover

On Sunday night a group of street artists removed ads from downtown Toronto and replaced them with street art. The project was dubbed Toronto Street Advertising Takeover by participants and took months of planning. I live downtown and had noticed them – very nice – but wasn’t sure of the scoop until I read about it on Stimulant yesterday. Full story and more pics. Now if only someone could do something about the obnoxious drunken 905ers on Saturday night…

I Was Away

Sorry for the lack of posts – I was away in Scotland for ten days for a wedding (not mine) and a mini holiday. I had a great time. Pic to the side was taken at sunset in the countryside outside of Stirling.
