Jameson: Fire (director's cut)

Fire is the latest from the always amazing Noam Murro (Biscuit Filmworks) for Jameson via TBWA/Chiat/Day. Please note this is his director’s cut not the air version. Brilliant.

Riverdale: Archie Movie Trailer

Riverdale: Archie Movie Trailer

I was a huge fan of Archie Comic Books growing up and I’m happy to see this live action trailer of what a modern film based on the comic book would be like – and on a budget. This and ten other comedic shorts were shot over a weekend, in Vancouver, for a mere $3,500 Canadian. I love that Jughead is gay, and in love with Archie, but I always picture Betty to be prettier – more like January Jones. Nicely done. More info here.

Designer Scrabble

Here’s a scrabble set by Andrew Capener that comes in the font of your choice or an assorted font pack. The board, six pieces that fit together magnetically, and box are made out of solid walnut. Nice. Scooped from medesignmag.com.

Daft Coke

Daft Coke

Daft Punk and Coca-Cola have teamed up to create Daft Coke – two bottles in gold and silver representing the helmets worn by the French duo. The limited edition bottles are only available in France, in a fancy box (see pics), until the end of March. Too bad they are not available Around the World (ya, lame I know, but I couldn’t resist). Scooped from Fubiz.

Dispatchwork

Okay, get past the boring soap bubble preserver machine and the talk of trading a stale loaf of Russian bread for a bag, and this guy who goes around filling in the cracks in buildings with LEGO is pretty interesting (well, when he’s not talking). Scooped from Notcot.

Vader Sucks

I love LEGO and Star Wars (well, the original three not the follow-up crap films) and I love these four ads created by students at Escola Cuca Advertising School, Sao Paulo for Star Wars Lego. Scooped from Whitezine.

Interpretive Dance With Thom Yorke

Lotus Flower, directed by Garth Jennings, is the first video from the new Radiohead album The King of Limbs. Love that Thom Yorke dances like no one is watching.

Back to the Future

I love this project by photographer Irina Werning, who invited people to revisit their past by recreating the photos of their youth. Fantastic.

MTV Exit: When Will I Feel Love

MTV Exit: When Will I Feel Love

When Will I Feel Love is the latest MTV EXIT music video via Y&R New York. The agency worked with music collective Black Iris which
wrote and performed the original song, When Will I Feel Love, which features guest vocalist, Best Coast’s Bethany Cosentino. The agency also worked with director/animator Edouard Salier and sound design producer Brian Emrich, whose credits include Black Swan, Requiem of a Dream and The Wrestler. The story, which starts off pretty and end pretty badly, highlights the plight of millions of people who are trafficked every year and forced into a life of forced labour, prostitution or domestic servitude. Nicely done.
