On May 23rd at the DGA Theatre in New York City, Shoot magazine debuted its fifth annual New Directors Showcase reel. The reel reflects the work of 30 helmers—25 individual directors, a three-person team and a directorial duo. The reel is now available online for viewing here.

I love director Ringan Ledwidge's work (see Getting Dressed and Dangerous Liaisons) and this new spot for Orange is full of the same whimsical qualities that make it so appealing to me. Although this spot received a lot of press when it first came out in late 2006, I never saw it until the Bessie Awards in Toronto last month. I have no idea where my head was when it was released. But, I'm posting it now because it is so beautiful.
