Wieden+Kennedy London has created a fun festive online Christmas card at wiedenswood.com. I just created the glossytree but am concerned about having to water it everyday as I think I might have forgotten to feed my beta fish today (kidding...well, feeding now).

This is last week's news but I was too busy at Christmas parties to check it out until this AM. As a big fan of the Whopper (one of my dirty little secrets), I love the concept of campaign; no Whoppers for a day. I would have loved to seen this taken nationwide though; with no Whoppers anywhere for a day. Congrats to CBP on a great idea.

I love these Reitman's ads out of Taxi, Toronto. Three of them have been on Canadian television over the past six months; a barbecue scenario, a bus stop and this airport security one. I have never seen these spots posted anywhere online (and believe me, I looked), I'm assuming it's some sort of problem with ACTRA (our SAG) and no internet buy. As bad as the quality of this airport spot is (taped of the TV), I'm posting it. Bon Voyage.

SuiCycle is a lively, multi-textured animated short created specifically for the 2007 Design Politics exhibition in Santiago, Chile: a forum for “visual ideologies” comprised of the best issue-driven design work from around the globe. Blacklist newbie Holbrooks picked up two silver awards at YoungGuns this past weekend for their short film t.o.m.. They won both in the student category, as the film was made in their final year at the International Film School of Wales, and in the professional category for animation. Congrats to Tom, Daniel & Matt.

Comedienne Alice Lowe stars as electro-sex rapper Kitty Litta in "Sticks and Balls", director Jacqueline Wright's highly-suggestive 2007 short for Super 8 film fest, Straight 8. Amazing. Enjoy. Scooped from Boards.

Remember is the latest for the NBA directed by Biscuit's Noam Murro via Goodby, Silverstein and Partners, San Francisco. The spot plays homage to a day every Celtic fan will never forger; the day Kevin Garnett was traded. Music is "Day After Day" by Badfinger. Full credits are here.

If you are in Toronto over the next three weeks, be sure to keep your eyes open for a Canadian first - billboards projected on to buildings that come to life and interact with each other. Fido, a Canadian wireless provider, created the billboards in conjunction with Bos, Toronto to celebrate the holiday season and promote wireless video calling. They feature a man and a woman each projected onto separate buildings. Initially both are static and then suddenly the young couple begins to interact with one another. Seen an ad lately that is a complete rip-off of another ad? Of course you have. AdLand's Badland has a great selection of commercials that look like other commercials, logos that look like other logos, thoughts on trends in advertising and just some plain ol' bad ads.

Repping company Resource has launched Treesource, an organization that will donate to various charities, the first being Tree People, on the behalf of their clients. "Forgotten Meat" is not that piece of roast chicken that you left in the bottom crisper that has taken on a life of its own, it's the latest spot by Biscuit director Aaron Ruell for Cook's Ham. Agency is Bernstein-Rein, Kansas City.

Stash 39 is out this week and is filled with goodies from the world of animation, motion graphics and design. Psyop's Orangina via FFL Paris is on the cover, along with some "making off" stills on the inside. There are also a couple of great short films in this issue; "t.o.m." by Holbrooks, who were recently signed to Blacklist, and Trevor Cawood's "Terminus" which was screened at TIFF.
