Faster, Higher, Stronger (and Easier): RBC’s mobile app help simplify banking for Canada’s Olympic athletes
RBC celebrates its long-standing support of Olympic athletes with a series of playful videos produced in association with Toronto’s Nimble Content.
Whether it’s checking their bank balance on a balance ball, or sending money in a (literal) crunch, RBC’s new mobile app lets Canadian Olympians finish their banking without interfering with their training.
The financial services company has partnered with Toronto’s Nimble Content on an Olympic-themed campaign that celebrates its more than 70-year association with Canada’s Olympic athletes.
The online “Work that App” campaign, directed by Jesse Senko, features a series of playful 15-second videos showing Olympic mogul skier – and recent gold medalist -Mikaël Kingsbury, halfpipe snowboarder Mercedes Nicoll, freestyle snowboarder Spencer O’Brien and aerials skier Travis Gerrits using the RBC app to pay bills, send money and check their bank balance, even as they train for the Pyeongchang Games.
The sister company of Holiday Films, Nimble Content conceived the campaign and developed it in association with RBC. Established in 2015, Nimble specializes in producing innovative and shareable online content that includes everything from social media and mini docs, to pre-roll ads, stunts and multi-platform productions.
Nimble is a full-service production and post company that boasts a roster of Canadian directors and content creators that work with both agencies and clients directly. They have produced award-winning work for a diverse range of clients including Chevrolet, Petro Canada, Google, Hershey’s, McDonald’s, New Balance and Budweiser.
