Juliet Adds Five and Moves into New Toronto Offices
Juliet, the Toronto-based creative agency launched in November of 2017 by Ryan Spelliscy, Sarah Stringer and Denise Cole, has added five to its creative team and has moved into its new Toronto offices.
The five new creative hires have varying and vast creative backgrounds and bring unique skills to Juliet and its clients.
Colombia-born and OCAD educated art director, illustrator and artist Maria José Arias has joined the team. She’s a multi-talented creative who previously worked as a designer at Toronto-based Whitman Emorson.
Jes Watson has joined as head of content. Watson is a former editor-in-chief at Canadian Living and brings with her a breadth of experience outside of the world of advertising and a fresh perspective on content strategy.
Nicole Nyholt, an art director, video director and photographer, who works closely with Jes Watson, has joined the team so they may continue to work together to quickly create content for Juliet’s clients.
Designer, woodworker and typographer Duncan Collis also joins the creative team. Collis has previously worked at Tribal Worldwide, Redlion and Cossette.
Rounding out the five hires is Rachel Harding, a business grad turned copywriter who has previous experience at Imprint Marketing Group.
“Across the board, these are people who know how to roll up their sleeves and make things,” says Ryan Spelliscy, co-founder Juliet. “They are all multi-talented, and we’re very excited to have them join us and bring their creative capabilities to our clients.”
Juliet has recently moved into its new offices on Toronto’s trendy Geary Avenue, a 1.4-kilometre street which is home to an eclectic group of businesses including art galleries, a recording studio, a tattoo parlour, a coffee shop, a bakery, a fish monger, a bookkeeper and an Italian egg pasta wholesaler.
“Geary is a street that’s been called the ugliest and most creative street in Toronto,” adds Spelliscy. “We wanted our offices to be on a street that was full of true creative energy and we found that on Geary with a space that’s creative and comfortable.”
