Jessy Lalancette has joined the new Toronto production company Undivided as Head of Sales and Artist Management, a role that will see her act as a liaison between clients and the company’s growing creative roster.

Lalancette has amassed considerable experience in talent management, including spending the past five years as office manager with the talent management firm Dulcedo Management. She has also previously worked with Montreal-based Montage Models, and as a junior booker with the world-famous Ford Models.
“What we love about Jessy’s background is as a talent rep, she has an understanding of our world from a different point of view,” said Undivided partner Nikki Ormerod. “Her skillset is able to easily translate to production and repping directors and photographers, but with a fresh scope that differs from our own.”
Undivided is Lalancette’s first-ever role in the commercial production industry, resulting in enthusiasm and excitement that can be infectious, said Ormerod. “Everyone is a new face to her,” she said. “She soaks everything in like a sponge and we enjoy witnessing the things she’s amazed by that we may take for granted having done this for so long.”
Lalancette said that she was attracted to Undivided by its commitment to building a platform for young, diverse talent and its different approach to meeting clients’ creative needs.
She said that her prior experience has provided her with the skills and expertise required to understand Undivided’s roster both in front and behind the camera. “I also plan on applying all of my expertise, and even skills I haven’t touched on since my days in film school, to help with the long-term growth of Undivided in the future and to make the company a recognizable name in the commercial world,” she said.
Launched late last year by Ormerod and her husband Scott Houghton, who also serves as executive producer, Undivided is committed to providing opportunities for young, diverse industry talent. The company has already assembled a strong roster of photographers, director/photographers and directors.
