Toronto agency continues its recent new business win streak with world’s largest certified B-Corp travel company.

The Garden continued its impressive new business win streak this month, adding Intrepid Travel, the world’s largest travel company to be certified B-Corp, Intrepid Travel, to its growing client roster. The agency was awarded the business following a formal review.

The win comes as the Melbourne, Australia-based company, which specializes in small group adventure travel, looks to one day become a $1 billion purpose-led business and has set its sights on growing its business in North America.

The Garden is tasked with increasing awareness of Intrepid Travel among North American audiences, beginning with key markets across the continent, with plans to roll out the marketing internationally.

The more than 30-year-old travel brand continues to emerge from what it described in its 2021 annual report as a period of “hibernation and reimagination” brought about by the pandemic. It recently undertook a brand overhaul with a stated goal to become an “experience-rich brand that is digital-first, purpose-led and customer driven.” The goal is to create a brand that meets changed customer expectations, with a specific emphasis on the digital experience.

“We decided to work with The Garden because they really took the time to understand our business and strategic priorities,” says Tom Smith, General Manager, North America at Intrepid Travel. “Their process feels genuinely collaborative, embracing the unique expertise of our team members with custom facilitated workshops, which are both creative and highly productive. I feel like this process will create breakthrough ideas and creative solutions faster, which will help us get them out into the world quicker.”

As someone who spent her 20s and much of her 30s travelling the world, the Garden’s co-founder and chief strategy officer Shari Walczak said The Garden was drawn by Intrepid’s curated approach to travel and its commitment to sustainability.

“One of our philosophies at The Garden is to try to leave the world a little bit better than we found it, and Intrepid Travel is literally aligned with that vision,” she said. “It couldn’t be a more perfect pairing.”

The Intrepid account win follows several recent account wins for The Garden, including the Royal Victoria Regional Health Care Foundation, Branksome Hall, TG Appliance Group and Dymon Storage.
