Director Marc Sidelsky has joined Untitled Films for Canadian representation
The award-winning commercial director who has made films for brands such as Nike, Stussy, Honda, Ford, Vodafone, KFC and T-Mobile.
Sidelsky was born in Toronto, Canada but grew up in South Africa and attended film school in Johannesburg and landed into the advertising world after earning himself a spot in the Saatchi and Saatchi New Directors Showcase in Cannes.
His “Whenever, Wherever” commercial for KFC was a local phenomenon in South Africa, showcasing his amazing eye for set design, crisp modern compositions and deadpan visual comedy.
His film he wrote and directed for sneaker boutique, Shelflife, showcasing the ‘Stüssy x Nike’ collab was born from the desire to refresh the notion and tone of fashion advertising, Marc created an engaging, stylish, darkly amusing tale where the clothes are integrated seamlessly, being key to the plot. The Vimeo Staff Pick has scooped accolades at all major awards shows including a Wood Pencil for Direction at D&AD, Silver Clio for Direction, a Bronze Pencil at One Show, a Silver at 1.4 for Branded Content, the Grand Prix at Ciclope Africa 2021, and bronze for best concept at SHOTS.
Marc Recently moved back home to Canada and now resides on a small Island off the coast in British Columbia.
