Fort York VFX is thrilled to welcome back Andrew Rolfe, who returns as Senior Flame Artist and joins the company as Partner, marking an exciting new chapter for the studio.

After standout runs at Studio Feather and Darling, Rolfe returns to Fort York with a fresh perspective, expanded creative vision, and nearly two decades of experience in visual effects and on-set supervision.

Known for his technical expertise, calm leadership, and ability to tackle even the trickiest visual challenges, Rolfe has built a reputation as both an exceptional artist and a trusted collaborator.

In his new role, Rolfe will help shape the studio’s creative direction alongside Executive Producer and Managing Director Erin Kuttner. Together, they’re focused on growing Fort York’s collaborative culture while continuing to push the studio’s high-end post-production capabilities forward.

“Having Andrew return to Fort York as both a creative leader and Partner feels incredibly exciting for all of us,” says Erin Kuttner, Executive Producer and Managing Director. “He brings a rare mix of technical brilliance, creative instinct, and genuine collaboration. We’re building something really special together.”

For Rolfe, the return feels personal. “Coming back to Fort York honestly feels a bit like coming home,” says Rolfe. “This team is full of ridiculously talented people, and I’m excited to jump back in, reconnect with clients, and keep creating work we’re all proud of.”

The winning combo of Kuttner and Rolfe reflects Fort York VFX’s continued investment in top-tier creative talent and its commitment to delivering exceptional visual effects work with a collaborative, artist-driven approach.
